FAQs

How do I book onto a course?

Please email us longashton.cpr@gmail.com or use the "send us a message" form at the bottom of the home page. If there is space for you on the course you will get a confirmation email.

Is the course suitable for me?

The Heartstart course is designed for everyone. You don't need any prior knowledge or experience to participate, only a willingness to learn. We ask that anyone aged 13-18 is accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Where are the defibrillators located?

There are two public access defibrillators (AEDs) in Long Ashton. One outside Church House on Long Ashton Road, near the intersection with Theynes Croft. The other is outside the Village Hall entrance at the Community Centre on Keedwell Hill. In an emergency the 999 operator will tell you how to open the cabinet.

Where and when are the courses held?

The courses are held in the Jubilee Pavilion at the Long Ashton Community Centre, Keedwell Hill, BS41 9DP. The course lasts 2 hours. Please arrive promptly and bring some change to make a donation to the BHF.

What should I wear/bring?

Please wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you will be practising the skills being taught. You can bring a pen and notebook but you will be given an aide-memoire to take home. Please bring some change, we recommend a £5 donation to the BHF.

How do I make a cancellation?

We understand that plans change. If you can no longer attend, please let us know by email as soon as possible, so we can give your place to someone else.
