BHF Heartstart Bristol

The British Heart Foundation's Heartstart Bristol scheme is run by local volunteers.

Courses generally last around two hours and you will have lots of opportunities to practise on manikins. In a session you’ll learn about:

- dealing with an unconscious person
- the signs and symptoms of a heart attack
- recognising a cardiac arrest and performing CPR
- dealing with choking
- dealing with serious bleeding

Course Dates

We offer courses in Long Ashton for local residents (which you can book by emailing us), but if the dates are not convenient you can attend a Heartstart Bristol course at Southmead Hospital. Click on the link below to see contact details for that site.
